The Impact of Urban Forests on Climate Change

Urban forests are playing an increasingly important role in our fight against climate change. Trees absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and store it as carbon, making them natural carbon sinks. In cities, where heat islands are a major concern, trees provide cooling effects that can reduce temperatures by up to 8 degrees Celsius.

Our urban forest initiative has planted over 35,000 trees across major Indian cities. These trees not only combat climate change but also improve air quality, reduce noise pollution, and provide habitat for urban wildlife.

The benefits extend beyond environmental impact. Studies show that green spaces improve mental health, increase property values, and create more livable communities. By investing in urban forests, we're investing in a sustainable future for our cities.
