Our Story
Kriaajee Environmental Foundation was founded with a simple yet powerful belief: that environmental conservation and climate action must be rooted in community participation and local knowledge. The word "Kriaajee" itself means "action" in Hindi, reflecting our commitment to tangible, measurable impact.
Starting with a small team of passionate environmentalists in 2015, we recognized that India's environmental challenges required innovative solutions that bridged the gap between grassroots communities, corporate partners, and government initiatives. Over the past decade, we've grown into a leading environmental organization working across multiple states.
Our approach combines scientific research with community wisdom, ensuring that every project is both environmentally sound and socially beneficial. From reforestation initiatives in urban areas to renewable energy projects in rural villages, we've learned that sustainable development is possible when communities are at the center of decision-making.
Today, Kriaajee operates across 15 states, with a network of over 2,300 active volunteers and partnerships with 200+ corporate organizations. We remain committed to our founding principle: that every individual and organization has a role to play in building a sustainable future.
